| Native of Charleston, S.C., Cara grew up surrounded by beautiful scenery, excellent food, and plenty of Southern hospitality. Cara attended Clemson University where she received a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Communications. Her curriculum included photography classes, which led her to discover her innate talent and deep love for photography. Cara’s degree obtained her a job up North, where she worked as a Marketing Manager for 5 years. Working in marketing and managing ad agencies kept her very close to the creative process, but her passion still ran deep in shooting photographs. Cara’s move to Raleigh in the Spring of 2004, gave her the transition she needed to springboard into her new career. She believed that if she didn’t follow her dream, it would be a decision that she would always regret. Now after over 5 years of making the decision to pursue the business of photography, she believes that it is the best choice that she has ever made. Cara’s great love of people and building new relationships has truly proven to be a huge tribute to her success. Cara thrives on the fact that she nurtures her clients and they respond by becoming long term customers as well as personal friends. She strongly believes that there is a powerful link between her client relationships and the amazing images she captures that evoke a spirit of fun, playfulness, comfort and love. In her free time, Cara truly enjoys laughing, exploring and having fun with Jonathan and Sophia. Sometimes on any given Sunday, the three of them can go out for coffee and end up in the country an hour away. She also holds a deep love for her friends and family. She believes that this balance in her life makes her a better photographer and support system to her clients. |
